Sick young woman, in the women’s quarter, Esperanza hospital, one of the two buildings of the Americo Boa-Vida hospital dedicated to HIV. The diagnosis as for her survival was very pessimistic.
In the background, Elsa, Luta Pela VIHda activist, and Katya Carina, activist of the seropositive women network and Luta Pela VIHda, visit the sick women of the institution. Katya was hospitalized here over ten times. Her sister, her husband and her child, then eight month old, all died of AIDS.
